Page Attachments

Some logbook pages have a document paperclipped or stapled to them, such as a yellow return-to-service tag or an 8130-3 form. In BetterPlane, you attach these documents digitally: scan or photograph each one, and it stays with the logbook page it belongs to. You add, view, and delete attachments from the paperclip icon on the page.

1. Open the logbook and go to the page.
2. Tap the paperclip icon in the corner of the page image. A number badge on the icon shows how many attachments the page already has.
3. Tap a thumbnail to open the attachment full screen.
4. Tap the share icon to share the attachment.

A page with no attachments shows No attachments yet.

You need the Officer or Manager role to add an attachment.

1. Tap the paperclip icon on the page.
2. In the attachments sheet, tap the + button.
3. Choose how to add the file:
   • Scan Single Page (Image): take one photo with the camera. Not available on the web app.
   • Scan Multi-Page Document (PDF): scan several pages into one PDF. Not available on the web app.
   • Pick from Photo Gallery: choose an existing photo.
   • Pick a File: choose a PDF, JPG, JPEG, or PNG file from your device.
4. Review the file on the Confirm Upload screen. It shows the file type and size.
5. Tap Upload.

The file must be 50 MB or smaller. A picked PDF keeps its format. All images (scanned, from the gallery, or picked as files) convert to JPEG automatically.

You need the Officer or Manager role to delete an attachment.

1. Tap the paperclip icon on the page.
2. Tap the trash icon on the attachment you want to remove.
3. Type yes in the box to confirm.
4. Tap Delete.

This permanently deletes the file. It does not delete the page or its extracted entries.

Does AirWrenchAI read the text on an attachment? No. AirWrenchAI only extracts entries from the scanned page image, not from attachments.
